Candace Chenoweth has directed the Education Abroad & International Credentials program at Washington State University since 2002. In those seven years WSU has almost tripled the number of students studying abroad and increased faculty-led programming from 2 to 20+ programs annually. This growth has been accomplished with the addition of only one staff position and the development of a robust peer advisor and internship program to provide assistance in office administration and program advertising and marketing. Prior to working in education abroad Candace served as the international credentials evaluator at WSU and as a one-woman office responsible for all aspects of international student recruitment, admissions and services at a small, four-year institution. Candace worked in Japan while pursing a MA degree in Asian Studies and has two sons who are inspired to travel abroad by their love of soccer and martial arts and three cats who prefer never to leave home.
