Glenn Davidson

Managing Director of KPMG’s Shared Services & Outsourcing Practice for the Public Sector. Glenn Davidson is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience working in or with public sector organizations.  As such, he has led initiatives to transform both their mission-critical and business-support operations – including information technology, human resources, financial management, citizen/customer contact services and procurement – for purposes of achieving higher performance.

Glenn’s current clients include the Texas Health & Human Services Commission, Georgia Technology Authority, and the US Department of Homeland Security’s Transportation Security Administration.  Among his more recent clients have been the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Office of Administration, Pennsylvania Treasury Department, the State of Florida’s Department of Management Services, Florida’s Legislature’s Office of Program Policy Analysis and Government Accountability, and the US Air Force.

Glenn was a public servant for much of his career.   The last position he held was chief of staff to Governor L. Douglas Wilder.  Prior to assuming that role, he served as the Governor’s communications director and press secretary and, before that, as the Commonwealth’s Federal liaison in Washington, DC.     Glenn also served as a congressional aide; he was Ohio Representative Ron Mottl’s legislative assistant.

Glenn joined the private sector about 15 years ago.  As such, he has worked both a consultant and as a service provider.  He was an officer of Viatel – a provider of dark and lit fiber, long-distance wholesale services, and managed network services – to government and commercial customers.  He was also an officer of Accenture’s business process improvement business.

Glenn holds a BA from American University in International Studies and an MA from George Washington University in Science, Technology and Public Policy.  While he “harkens” from Cleveland, Ohio, Glenn, his wife Carol, and their dog Chloe live in Arlington, Virginia.
